HMH Construction — Masters of Renovation

Restaurant Renovations That Open On Schedule

Dining rooms, bars, commercial kitchen build-outs, and washrooms — built to pass health and building inspections, on schedules that respect your opening date.

Evening and overnight work available to protect your service hours

How We Deliver Restaurant Projects

  1. 1

    Scope Around Your Opening

We plan the project backwards from your target opening date, agree a fixed price, and lock in a schedule that includes inspections — not just construction.

  2. 2

    Permits & Code

Building permits, ventilation and grease-duct requirements, accessible washroom rules, and health-inspection requirements — identified early and built in, not discovered late.

  3. 3

    Build, Inspect, Open

Our crews run the build in phases (or overnight for operating restaurants), close every inspection, and hand over a space that is ready for its first service.

What We Build for Restaurants

Front of House

Dining rooms, bars, booths and banquettes, feature walls, lighting, and durable flooring that handles traffic and spills.

Back of House

Commercial kitchen layouts, wall and floor finishes to health-code spec, floor drains, and equipment coordination with your suppliers.

Washrooms & Accessibility

Code-compliant, accessible washrooms sized correctly for your seat count — a common failure point we get right the first time.

Restaurant Renovation Questions

Can you renovate while we stay open?

Often yes — we phase the work and run evening or overnight shifts so you keep serving. Some scopes need a short closure; we tell you exactly which days.

Do you coordinate with health inspectors?

We build to health-code requirements from the drawings stage and schedule the building inspections. Your health inspection is yours, but our finishes and layouts are built to pass it.

Do you install kitchen equipment and hoods?

We coordinate directly with your equipment and hood suppliers, handle the construction side — gas, electrical, ventilation openings, fire-rated assemblies — and sequence installs into the schedule.

How long does a restaurant build-out take?

A cosmetic front-of-house refresh can be done in two to three weeks; a full build-out with kitchen work typically runs two to four months including permits.
